ABOUT EVA

Eva is a painter, illustrator, and designer. Originally from Spain, she left her country at a very young age to explore the world, leaving pieces of herself in Ireland, Malta, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
She has lived in Cardiff, Wales, since 2020, where she paints and designs full time. Inspired by music, nature, and powerful female muses, her mission is to create works that invite others to embrace the joys of life and lose themselves in the stories behind the art.
A contemporary artist known for her vibrant and emotive works that blend figurative expressionism with urban contemporary styles. Her paintings are distinguished by bold use of color, intricate patterns, and symbolic imagery, resulting in dynamic compositions rich in cultural and emotional depth.
Her art exhibitions are designed to serve both the artist and the community, offering a dynamic platform for creative expression and cultural engagement. They create opportunities for the work to be seen, appreciated, and critiqued by a diverse audience. Exhibitions also provide a venue for collectors and enthusiasts to acquire unique pieces, while the preparation process encourages ongoing reflection and continual refinement of technique.

Artist's Statement

I choose acrylics because they dry fast and that makes my narrative move quicker too. They allow me to catch my feelings as they rise before they fade and move to the next layer, next feeling. I don’t like to overthink, I want to feel and create in the moment.

I am very extroverted and outgoing, love traveling and meeting people, but sometimes my cup overflows and I need this solitude. The UK Rainy days give me that permission, not to make plans but to stay with myself and create.

I paint women to capture untold stories, their strength, softness and vulnerability. In them I reflect pieces of myself and fragments of the people I meet along the way. Painting feels like a dialogue, their eyes pull me in, telling stories. Some are theirs, some are mine. Each portrait is a mirror, part them, part me.

Through this intimate, I redefine femininity, making the female form central to conversations about identity, beauty, motherhood, and mortality, while demanding attention and respect long denied to women in art.
